As Lead Research Software Engineer for ASU Online, Mike helped develop one of the world’s premiere online educational systems. Having graduated from Arizona State University with degrees in Aeronautics and Software Engineering, Mike has a reputation for disrupting old paradigms and increasing student success in digital classrooms.

Extended Abstract

The Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Colorado is one of six professional schools within the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Skaggs began using Proctorio in 2014 for their online distance degree programs designed for practicing pharmacists. By implementing Proctorio, Skaggs was able to grow their distance learning programs and prepare professionals around the world to become practicing pharmacists. 

Having adopted Proctorio in 2014, Skaggs School of Pharmacy were pioneers in distance learning and remote proctoring. When the COVID-19 pandemic forced institutions to swiftly move online, Skaggs was already an expert in administering online courses and remotely-proctored exams. In the seven years since adoption, Skaggs has administered over 20,000 remotely-proctored exams while ensuring a flexible and convenient fully-online learning environment.
