Join this session for a hands-on workshop exploring research basics, providing clear steps for getting started on your research journey.

Extended Abstract
Whether you’re an educator, instructional designer, educational leader, or graduate student, if you’re new to research, it can be hard to know where to begin. This hands-on session will provide a guided, interactive simulated study design activity that walks you through the research process. This session will provide an opportunity to explore and engage with research basics, including conducting a literature review, defining a research problem, developing a research question, incorporating theoretical perspectives, determining methodology, determining research method, and planning data collection strategies. You’ll gain knowledge about how to engage with the research process, as well as tips and resources for succeeding in conducting your own research project.
