Brief Abstract

Microcredentials create a purposeful connection and complementary pathway for true life-long learning. This session will help you jumpstart the conversation about microcredentials and badging at your institution and offer you some practical tips and on-ramps for next steps.

Presenters

I am the Senior Managing Director for Professional, Continuing, and Online Education for the College of Science and the College of Liberal Arts. As a Purdue Online administrative lead, I partner with the College's academic leads as well as the functional leaders of Learning Technologies, Program Management, Student Services, and Online Corporate Partnerships. I currently teach online for University College's First-Year Experience at IUPUI.
Joanna Ray is the Senior Account Executive at Instructure. She brings over 16 years of experience in eLearning leadership in higher education and K12 environments. In her prior role, Joanna served as a Director for Online Learning in the School of Education at Indiana University-Indianapolis and Principal eLearning Services Consultant at Indiana University where she advanced e-Learning initiatives, developed new online programs, and mentored educators transitioning to online and blended learning environments. She has developed and taught undergraduate and graduate courses in the field of Educational Technology at IUPUI.
