Brief Abstract

There will be no shortage of networking opportunities at this year's OLC Innovate conference. Join leads Jennifer Zaur and Cynthia Pascal for a variety of opportunities to get to know other conference attendees, and learn strategies for how to lead networking within your own teaching and learning spaces.

Lead Presenter: Jennifer Zaur, University of Arizona Global Campus

Jennifer Zaur is an assistant professor in the Department of Education and Liberal Arts at the University of Arizona Global Campus. She has a BA in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Language and Literacy, both from Arizona State University. She been an elementary school teacher, a reading interventionist, teacher mentor, and an instructor of professional development workshops. For the last eight years she has worked in higher education focusing on student retention, curriculum development and best practices in online learning.

Co-presenter: Cynthia Pascal, Northern Virginia Community College

Dr. Cynthia Pascal is the Associate Vice President of eLearning at Northern Virginia Community College’s online division. With over 47 years of distance learning experience, NOVA Online couples world-class online instruction with holistic student support services. When not serving the NOVA community she is a consultant and keynote speaker for NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising, the Advising Success Network, and Student-Ready Strategies.
